Ma’at Institute was created to eradicate racism through research (especially research designed to find cures to the mental, physical, economic, emotional and spiritual challenges that disproportionately affect Blacks and other *Melanics), education and charitable activities which provide culturally specific healing, as well as, educating, providing services/products, and motivating others to counter racism and the effects of racism (white supremacy) by initially building a Black healthy community and then other Melanic communities. To help Caucasians heal from racism so that Melanics and Caucasians will live in accordance to the principles of Ma’at –truth, justice, righteousness, law, harmony, and balance.
*Melanics– a term created in the 1980s by Dr. Ayo Maria Gooden to refer to People of Color (Blacks, Native Americans/Indigenous Peoples, Latinos/Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders, etc.).
