Dr. Warren E. Gooden

Chemist

Dr. Warren E. Gooden is the son of Jamaican parents, Mr. Vibert Gooden and Mrs. Barbara Mullett Gooden. He is a graduate of Freeport High School in New York. He earned his B.A. in chemistry from The Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and was awarded his MS and Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Gooden’s specialty is biochemistry. He is a full professor and the former Chair (for 13 years) of the Department of Science and Allied Health at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. He is the co-creator of 28 penicillin and has a patent pending on a plant substance that treats herpes and acne. His presentations provide students and teachers with edible experiments (including ice cream), toys (silly putty) and memorable scientific experiences.
